It was time to check my weight. I started my Liver Reduction Diet (LRD) on 8 January 2024 with a weight of 26.5st. (168kg). It was a difficult process, suddenly dropping all the habits and living on a liquid diet. Today, 21 February 2024, my weight showed 23.1st. (147kg). Amazing! In just 6 weeks I managed to lose so much weight. I have to admit that I am exercising a lot more and, above all, eating of course less and differently. My meals are based on an amount of protein around 70-80g per day. Since my stomach has a current capacity of only 20% – more precisely, 80% has been removed – I don’t even have to count calories, because after I’ve consumed the right amount of protein, I have no room for anything else – simple. Keep in mind that I also have to find space for water and black coffee without sugar for a total of about 2 litres of fluids, which I am not allowed to drink for 30 minutes before and after the meal. The day is too short to shove in a super large amount of calories into myself. There’s no way. I have a follow up appointment with my surgeon next week and hopefully he will allow me to do other forms of exercise. I’m really looking forward to the cycling, gym and the swimming pool.
