little things
It’s been six weeks since the day of the operation. Apart from motivation and feeling better, there are a lot of little things that have changed in my life, things that no one usually notices. It’s easier to get out of bed, put on shoes, take a shower. It’s easier to walk my dog, climb stairs or even stand at the kitchen table while preparing a meal. I can sit on the floor and play with blocks with my daughter. In the car park, I no longer look for a double space. There are more of these things, I haven’t even remembered them all, but … oh wait! Clothes! I dropped from 5XL to 3XL.
Before, work was the most important. I could go a whole day without eating because it consumed too much time. I was eating a big portions when I was back home. Customers and earning money was crucial. I guess a lot of people don’t realise how quickly our day to day living runs. Now, I have understood a lot of things I started making appointments with myself, to have a brisk walk and to eat a lunch in peace. One hour every day. It’s in my diary now forever. I am already a different person with new approach to life.
