bennachie
I’ve lived in Scotland for 21 years. Initially, I never considered climbing that hill, but when people mentioned its breathtaking views, I felt too out of shape to attempt it. Despite several tries, I always came up short. However, last week, my friend encouraged me to give it another shot, just for fun, with no pressure to succeed. I was intimidated since he climbs that hill regularly as a warm-up, while for me, it seemed like scaling Mount Everest. But guess what… I did it. We took the most challenging route, and it was exhausting, particularly the last 15 minutes. Yet, the sense of accomplishment was incredible. My friend remarked that now, when I return home from work and see Bennachie, I’ll view it differently because I’ve conquered it. It may only be 528 meters in elevation, and while that might sound modest to some, it was a personal milestone for me, and my mind relished the achievement. Thank you, Daniel.
